• Actively involved in water issues to ensure our future water supplies.
• Monitors agricultural related legislation and provides input
• Provides scholarships annually to students pursuing an agriculture related degree.
• Hosts a Water Tour to educate about irrigation and water issues.
• Assists with UNL Big Red Fair
• Hosts an educational tour of the Western Sugar facility

• Promotes public relations for the Chamber
• Presents First Dollar Certificates
• Attends ribbon cuttings and ground breakings
• Recognizes relocations and expansions
• Participates in grand openings and Business After Hours
• Helps host Chamber 101 and Membership Recruitment Luncheon

Business/Education

• Serves as a link between education and career
• Promotes Adopt-A-School partnerships between local businesses and schools to build business/school/student relations
• Provides avenues to promote lifelong learning
• Provides Jr. Achievement program to provide opportunities for business to interact in the classroom.
• Developing Student Internship program

• Monitors legislation on the local, state and federal levels
• Submits letters of concern to government agencies and representatives on issues
• Hosts an annual State of the Valley Address
• Hosts an annual Pre-Legislative event
• Hosts Rolls & Issues bi-weekly teleconference with Senator John Harms during the Legislative Session
• Hosts Candidate Forums for city and county candidates prior to both the primary and general elections
